Amanda, this is a beautiful project. I love 45 degree diamonds. I don't mind Y seams as I make them X seams through my method. For those wanting to make this into a baby quilt, put the project on point and attach corners. It looks particularly fetching in adding a border or a flange between the star and the corners. It's a good way to get 44% more real estate without the work. I've been using 3" strip sets of 2 (feature and solid). I get a 33" ish baby quilt. Fun and easy to make. And this 2 strip method uses 1 fat quarter. A great way to get rid of fat quarters and pairing them with a solid that sets of the feature fabric.

Great bonus quilt. Not having a dedicated sewing space I use leaders and enders to keep one particular step of a pattern together. They are cut together, chain pieced, pressed, then sorted into the next step. This saves my sanity because one tiny distraction usually ends with many extra hours attempting to figure out where things went wrong.

How many jelly rolls do I need to make a queen bed quilt? How to I make the adjustments with the pattern?

Wished I had watched this video before cutting my fat quarters. I cut wrong wasting fabric and after cutting 26 fat quarters instead of 21 listed I was still short.

How many different fat quarters do you use

Amanda, I really like the base under your sewing machine. It looks so much more stable than the plastic one that came with my machine. Would you share where it was purchased. Also what is the brand of machine you are using? Thanks so much. Your work is wonderful.

I always enjoy seeing patterns like this that can be used with only one block for a small quilted piece, but would also look great to make a larger quilt! Your Sunshine and Sweet Tea fabric is gorgeous! It will make some beautiful quilts.🥰
